Welcome to Spring! A huge thank you to all who attended our Ides of March meeting with the Grand Master. It was a great evening with a lot of guests and I hope all enjoyed themselves.

We were scheduled to exemplify the 1st Degree in April. The new date is Tuesday, June 14th.

Our April meeting falls on the 19th. Our lecture for the evening will be on the Chamber of Reflection. Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM and cost is forthcoming. As always, please contact our Junior Warden, R.'.W.'. Richard Torrey at 315-698-4315 or rwddgm1012@gmail.com by Friday, April 15th with your reservation. Officers have a standing reservation, if you are unable to attend, please notify RW Torrey in advance or you will be be responsible to pay for the dinner.

As always, dress code for this & all meetings is Tuxedo or dark suit. Our Meeting will commence at 7:30 PM with a 3 minute silent meditation in the Lodge Room before the Gavel falls to start the Opening.

I remind the Officers that if you are not going to be present that you have to notify me and the Secretary in writing, preferably by email - in ADVANCE.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of our two passed Brothers Bill Hook and Harvey Turner, whom we lost over the winter. Please also keep in your thoughts & prayers, Past Master Ron Waterbury whose wife, Peggy passed away on March 27th.

This year I'm involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the crazy head shaving organization that funds much needed childhood cancer research worldwide. I know that my long hair has been driving everyone crazy so I’ll be shaving my head on April 10th at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant,
301 W.Fayette St. in Syracuse . While the events are a whole lot of fun, the real goal is to raise money for research that will help save lives. Our shavees stand in solidarity with kids who typically lose their hair while undergoing treatment for cancer. I believe in this cause, and I need your support to get there. With your donation, St. Baldrick’s can fund grants that train the next generation of researchers, support innovative research, and help institutions treat more children in clinical trials.

Will you make a donation to St. Baldrick’s? Click here to donate: https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/847044/2016

Thank you for your support. Together, we can Conquer Childhood Cancer!

Our Worshipful Master, R.'.W.'. Richard J Powell has thrown in with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the crazy head shaving organization that funds much needed childhood cancer research worldwide. He will be losing his long locks on April 10th at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant, 301 W.Fayette St. in Syracuse . Our next Communication is slated for Tuesday March 15th. Our MW Grand Master, William J. Thomas and the Grand Marshal RW George Emmons will be our guests that evening. The Grand Master will be providing the educational portion of our evening with a presentation on "The Masonic Legends of Noah". I would love to see the full Officer line and as many Brothers as possible in attendance. Dress is tuxedo or dark suit for guests and Tails for Officers.

As always our evening will begin with a Festive Board at 6:30 PM. On this night, our Junior Warden, RW Richard Torrey and our Chef, RW Richard Nuhn will present the following menu: NY Strip Steak, baked potato, vegetable, salad, bread, coffee & dessert for the cost of $18.00. Please place your reservation with our Junior Warden at 315-698-4315 or rwddgm1012@gmail.com by Friday, March 11. All Officers have a standing reservation, if you are unable to attend, please notify RW Torrey in advance or you will be be responsible to pay for the dinner.

Again,I would love to see the full Officer line and as many Brothers as possible in attendance. Please be prompt.

We will have a rehearsal for Officers at 7:00 PM on Sunday March 13th. We need to sharpen our ritual after a few months of darkness. All Officers are expected so we can also cover protocol for the Grand Master's visit.

We are expected to exemplify the 1st Degree in April so a Degree team needs to be formed. I would like all Officers to take their respective place in the Degree. Other assignments are forthcoming. Right now, the exemplification is scheduled for Saturday, April 16th. I know that Saturdays are an issue for our Senior Deacon so we may change this to another date, perhaps a 2nd Tuesday in May or June. This will be discussed with the Officers present at the March 13th rehearsal.

Please watch our website and Facebook page online for the latest information.

See you soon and until then, Stay Observant...
